HOW TO SELECT BROKERS
    The Problem

You need to compile a list of brokers to contact. Perhaps you have a property that needs to be let or sold, or maybe you need a broker to find a suitable property for you. Could be you are a national retailer looking for suitable properties in multiple towns to open new outlets.
Either way, there are one or more specific areas for which you need to compile lists of suitable brokers and then get your message to them. How do you do this.?
Let's look at a practical example:
I'm needing to contact competent brokers to locate properties for me for a Cape Town client needing premises in KwaZulu-Natal.
The towns would be Margate, Port Shepstone and Pietermaritzburg.
    The Process    
  1. Home Page. Click on [Brokers] at page top.
  2. Select the fifth option down, (Operation Area - (Multiple Areas) ) and press [Go]
  3. That gives you a list of all the areas that brokers claim to operate in.
  4. Move down to KwaZulu-Natal
  5. Under [KZN - South Coast] you will see "Margate" and "Port Shepstone" - tick that box.
  6. Under [KZN - Pietermaritzburg] you will see "Pietermaritzburg" - tick that box
        (or use the handy Area Finder)
  7. Move to the bottom of the page and hit [Submit]
  8. You will now get a list of 153 brokers operating in those three towns.
  9. Print the list out
  10. Now move through the list looking at the profile of each broker.
  11. Some will be based in distant cities but claim expertise in these KZN areas, while others will specialise in property types that are inappropriate to your interest, and some might be auction specialists only - but you will know who looks likely or not. Circle the brokers who look like they would be helpful for you.
  12. Now you have a list of brokers to contact, but what's the most efficient way to do that.?
    How to Contact Them    
 
The simplest solution is to drop your message to whichever brokers you want via the [Contact Broker] button on the brokers individual pages. This is a little tedious but your browser's "auto suggest" forms function should pre-load your details fields and by using copy and paste (details on the form screen) you can drop the message into the comments box. Please remember that our anti-spam systems will only allow a mail rate of 10 messages per hour so you would need to pace yourself accordingly.
